Are you struggling to imagine the picture perfect wedding venue in Lubbock? Tell the truth. When you hear “Lubbock, Texas” your immediate thought is wind, dirt and cows, right? Well, I’m here to tell you that Lubbock can actually be quite charming! Especially when it comes to wedding venues, there’s no lack in the variety, and as a photographer, I’ve been lucky enough to document weddings at many of these beautiful locations. Whether you’re looking for a rustic barn, a vineyard, or a modern industrial space, Lubbock has it all! Here are six of the best wedding venues in Lubbock that you should put on your list to check out for your big day!
1. Eberley Brooks
Their mission statement: “To minister to our clients and community over a lifetime through biblical hospitality and service.” I absolutely love that from the very beginning they state that they have a servant’s heart. I’ve also loved working with the staff, and the venue itself is gorgeous. The Sage chapel has beautiful, clean lines with a vintage stained-glass centerpiece making it a timeless setting. On the other side of the property, you can be married at the barn. This isn’t just any old barn though. At Eberly Brooks, they somehow beautifully combined a rustic vibe with elegance. Not only are the grounds themselves sprawling, but you’ll also have a wedding coordinator to work out all the kinks and take care of everything behind the scenes so you won’t have to worry about a thing!
2. The Willows Event Center
As is connotes, The Willows venue is a charming oasis in the center of Lubbock, Texas with a beautiful garden featuring a few, you’ve got it, Willow trees! They have a beautiful mission: “To reveal God and His Kingdom through our work in the marketplace.” The grounds themselves are a must-see and one thing you certainly won’t have to stress about is the time of day you schedule your wedding. It’s has flattering light almost all day and they accommodate both indoor and outdoor weddings.
3. The Llano Estacado Winery
Located just outside of Lubbock, Texas, this venue offers a picturesque setting for your wedding day. You can exchange your vows in the vineyard, surrounded by a lovely tree line and cotton fields galore. What could be more West Texan!? Enjoy your reception outside, or in the ball room. You can even take photos in front of their wine barrels! So cool.
4. Macalester House
This venue is bright and airy inside, making it the perfect setting for your indoor wedding, but the grounds also have large, established trees for a beautiful backdrop in case you’re hoping for an outdoor ceremony. This venue is spacious enough to accommodate up to 350 guests and you won’t have to rearrange furniture because they have separate areas for meals, catering, preparation, and entertainment.
5. Sophia’s Place
This industrial-chic Lubbock wedding venue is a restored cotton gin offering open brick walls and plenty of vintage windows that can be transformed into the venue of your dreams! Whether you’re planning a unique, modern wedding, or a classic, elegant ceremony, Sophia’s place would be one of the most excellent decisions.
6. Kitalou Gin
Kitalou Gin is another cotton-gin turned chic, industrial wedding venue. This venue is perfect for larger weddings as it can accommodate up to 400 guests for your ceremony! Aside from their exclusive alcohol vendor, you can bring in any other vendors of your choosing! Not only that, but they boast of excellent service to make sure your day runs smoothly. Even if you don’t have a wedding planner, they’re there to make sure all the details that tend to be forgotten are NOT forgotten.
These are just a few of the many wedding venues that Lubbock has to offer! Be sure to visit these venues in person and speak with the staff to make sure you find the perfect venue for your special day.
