I'm a documentary wedding photographer with an editorial flair that allows your day to unwrap without intervention. Think of me as a street photographer on your wedding day. For the most part, I inject myself as little as possible into your day. Because here’s the thing: If I were to cut in and tell your mother to zip your dress up for the third time in a row in order to get the “perfect”, i.e. posed shot, yes! It would be a beautiful image! But when you look at that photo, even for the first time, you will know the real story behind it.
You don’t want to remember me as the director of your wedding day. I will be the fly on the wall that catches the unexpectedly funny moments, the tears, the laughs, the little knowing glances, and the beautiful emotions that will flow out. Your story will be documented and told in exactly that way: As YOUR story. While I’m there to be the visual scribe, I’m certainly not the one writing the the tale. I’ll let you write it, and I’m just there to jot it down as I see it.

...of course we will take formal portraits, but how many of those do you really need? what I focus on is getting the unique-to-you moments. In the end, those are the ones that will make you feel something. The ones you'll treasure.

I’m inspired by: film, family, holding, seeking, faith, belly laughs, golden fields, Pride and Prejudice (the Keira Knightley version), golden hour, deep green forests, crisp autumn air, bright blue skies, the first canon ball of the summer, the feeling of dappled sun-drops on my face, genuine communion, and Paris.
I also love the smell of freshly brewed coffee, am an enneagram 9w1, an INFP, and my love language is quality time. My three great loves are Jesus- my savior, my husband, whom I'm still wildly in love with, and my four lovely children.

I’m passionate about letting the day flow without interrupting and about allowing you to be fully present. I won't play the role of a director or try to force moments to happen. When you open your gallery for the first time, my goal is that you will be delighted with surprise, because no two weddings are EVER the same. While I do guide and prompt my couples on occasion, I'm mostly there to document the day as it unfolds.

"My husband and I had the pleasure to have Katrina as our photographer in Paris, France. She took time to get to know us, our wedding style, and the venues. The city hall where our civil ceremony took place is a classified Monument Historique built in the early 20th century. Katrina was able to capture in details the beauty of the place, including the decorative floor tiles. The ceremony itself lasted less then 30 minutes but those were definitely some of our favorite pictures."

If you and your fiancé are thinking of skipping the fuss and running off to do a private ceremony with just the two of you or a handful of your nearest and dearest, I'd be absolutely honored to document your intimate ceremony. My elopement packages start at 2 hours' coverage, so get in touch if you'd like to learn more.

Do you have any vendors you recommend?
Firstly, I'll send you a handful of sneak peek shots a couple of days after your wedding. 6 to 12 weeks later, you'll receive a link to your online gallery and slide show to watch and relive your wedding day. Around the same time, you'll also receive a beautiful package in the mail with a USB, prints and a little thank you from me.
How will I receive my photos?
Yes, we can organize to split your payments into four installments. Just let me know if this would suit you.
Do you have a payment plan?
You'll receive over 600-800 photos, depending on how many hours we shoot and how jam-packed your wedding day is!

Your day will be documented authentically and aesthetically with me behind the camera. After you submit your contact form, I do my best to reply within 24 hours. We'll then schedule a meet and greet! I take on a limited number of weddings per year, so I recommend getting in touch as soon as possible to ensure I’m available on your date.
