I recently had the honor of capturing Brooke and Jared’s golden hour field engagement session, and it was nothing short of magical! These two are getting married next summer in Dallas, and I’m so excited they chose me to document their love story! Their engagement session showcased their unique style and love for vintage charm, filled with personal touches.
They arrived with the most adorable picnic setup, complete with a custom cake that read, “til death do us part,” setting the perfect tone for a fun, eclectic evening. Brooke, with her special eye for all things vintage, looked absolutely stunning in a satin dress with delicate pleats she recently found at a vintage store. She also brought beautiful brass candlestick holders, adding even more vintage charm to their picnic setup.
From start to finish, Brooke and Jared were playful and affectionate with each other. Their undeniable connection made my job so effortless. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we ran around in an open field, and the golden light hit them chef’s kiss just right! We couldn’t have asked for a more romantically lit evening. It’s always so special to witness couples who are not only crazy in love but also best friends!
A part of the engagement session experience is also making sure we have some nice tunes to keep us going. On occasion, if we’re in a public space with lots of people, just talking to each other is enough to keep the session fun and running smoothly (it’s also a great way for the couple to get to know me). In this case, we spent about an hour running around in an open field and situated among the trees, so it seemed like an appropriate time to bust out the romantic tunes.
In the end, after seeing how these two interact during their golden hour field engagement session, I know their wedding day is going to be nothing short of awesome! Next summer can’t come soon enough!
