This Bryan College Station engagement session will make your heart melt!
Some love stories start with sparks. Others begin with a simple walk and a wagging tail.
Sarah and Brooks met in the most unexpected way — while he was out walking his dog. One conversation led to another, and the rest, as they say, is history. Their connection is effortless and undeniable, and it was such a joy to document their engagement session in a way that felt true to them: laid-back, warm, and full of personality.
Downtown Charm & Classic Romance
We started this Bryan College Station engagement session, stopping in front of the Queen Theatre — its vintage marquee sign making the perfect bold and iconic backdrop. From there, we stepped inside the cozy, historic LaSalle Hotel Bar, where Sarah and Brooks took some vibey photos ON the bar!
Windblown & Wonderful at Research Park
After our downtown stroll, we drove to Research Park, where the wind decided to crash our shoot in the most beautiful way. Sarah’s dress flowed effortlessly, her hair catching the breeze as she laughed with Brooks. The wind added energy and movement, turning a simple moment into something out of a dream.
This park is a favorite of mine — wide open fields, tall trees, and golden hour light that wraps around couples like a warm hug.
Get Their Look: Effortless Engagement Style
Sarah and Brooks nailed the “put-together without trying too hard” look. Here’s how you can recreate their style for your own session:
For Her: Elegant & Natural
Sarah wore a timeless white midi dress with delicate straps and a square neckline — minimal, flattering, and perfect for photos. She paired it with simple pearl drop earrings that elevated the look without stealing the spotlight.
- Similar Dress: Anthropologie LSPACE Mallorca Midi Dress
- Pearl Earrings: Anthropologie Double Pearl Drop Earrings
For Him: Classic & Cool
Brooks kept it casual with a light grey Adidas polo and well-fitted jeans — easygoing yet polished. The subtle texture of the shirt photographed beautifully, and it didn’t compete with the neutral tones of Sarah’s outfit.
- Similar Button Up: JCREW Slim Baird McNutt Irish linen shirt
- Jeans: Nordstrom Tellis Cloud Soft Slim Fit Jeans
Style Tip: Keep your color palette neutral and cohesive. Soft greys, whites, and creams allow your connection (and the location!) to shine through.
Why This Session Worked
- A Meaningful Location: From downtown charm to the quiet calm of nature, we captured a variety of moods and scenery that reflect Sarah and Brooks’ relationship.
- Real Moments Over Perfection: They trusted the process, embraced the wind, and focused on each other. That’s where the magic happens.
- Wardrobe That Compliments Without Competing: Their outfits matched in tone but not identically — helping everything feel relaxed yet styled.
