This past Monday, I had the honor of photographing a Texas A&M student athlete graduation session that carried a little extra weight and meaning. Collin, a student athlete and swimmer at Texas A&M, is closing the chapter on an incredible 15-year journey in competitive swimming. His session wasn’t just about celebrating academic accomplishments—it was about honoring years of discipline, early mornings, and dedication to a sport that shaped so much of his life. It was the kind of bittersweet you can feel in the air: part pride, part nostalgia.
We chose the Administration Building on campus for the shoot, and it couldn’t have been a better backdrop. The grand architecture and iconic corridors gave the photos an elegant, timeless feel. It’s one of those locations that truly captures the spirit and tradition of Texas A&M—stately, warm, and full of history.
Collin’s girlfriend joined us for the session, and we captured a few sweet shots of the two of them together. You could tell how much she’s been cheering him on the least few years. Super sweet!
There’s something really special about documenting endings that are also beginnings. This session was full of that kind of energy—gratitude for the past and excitement for what’s next. Collin, you’ve done great, and it was an honor document this closing chapter for you.
Gig ‘em, and here’s to your next adventure!
