Aside from documenting weddings, there are few things I love more than the opportunity to capture lifestyle family photos. To spend an hour or two with a family documenting them doing something they love is so special. Just the family being with each other is enough, really. Being invited into a home to catch sweet little moments and wander around the property where life happens is such a treat. These times carry so much meaning and the end results evoke cherished memories and nostalgia.

James and Meghan contacted me before their visit to his parents’ home in Bryan, Texas. Thrillingly, they hired me for a one hour session! This is the minimum amount of time I recommend if you’re wanting a session that captures your family truly looking most like yourself. The family gathered for a few days, creating the perfect opportunity to craft a little time capsule.

They also had some large animals (horses and dogs) that acted so friendly, they almost seemed to think they were lap dogs. One hour seemed to pass in no time at all, and the images we captured were so lovely and heart warming.
